How to set up LAN server?

Me and a friend are trying to get this working, it seems like an amazing mod and I would really like to play it, but we are having some issues. We are on the same internet, and it isn't letting him connect to my server I am running from my laptop. We installed everything correctly and he cannot join. I can join the server fine, however.

Anyone know what we are doing wrong?

Never tested LAN, try to use Hamachi.

Yeah it should work fine, but to find out what he did wrong is more work then if he just install hamachi and test it with that it does not matter.
You are new in the "support" I see noob. :-P
