Vault-Tec Multiplayer Banner Art Test

Was messing around for an hour in photoshop and whipped this up with some screenshots I already had from single player. Thought I would share what I came up with. Of course we would need a real multiplayer screenshot backdrop if I ever finished one. I'm open to any suggestions anyone might have...this is just a test example basically, but I like how it came out for the exception of the background images.

I really like them too. I think they are better than the current header. Do you have higher resolutions of them, or are they maxed?

Thanks guys. For these I was just seeing what I could come up with for the logo, text, etc. so I just made it the size of the current banner on the site. When I make final versions I could make them bigger. What size would you want it? I just can't take my screenshots higher than 1920x1080. I want to get some nicer screenshots too for the backgrounds as a few of these aren't that good.

Well, I guess the resolutions are fine anyway. I'd like to replace the current logo with one of yours. I personally like the 3rd the most, but I'd leave that decision to the community. Can you talk to Volumed? He is the one in charge for the forum style.

EDIT: Actually this banner is about 12 pixels more in height than the current one. Here is a better backdrop to the one you liked, forgot I had this screenshot. (I like this one best so far). It has me on the left with an Enclave ground support and Enclave Missile Air Strike from a Vertibird, using Enclave Commander mod. (I'll keep finalizing and talk to Volumed)

lol...you're funny man. I'm sure I would have used some type of battle in the screenshot if I made one for the banner, but these are just some of the 15 screenshots I have on my hard drive from the past two weeks on a new install/gamesave. So I'd have to spawn the factions with a console command, I'll google how to do it and see if I can make anything cool. So what like Brotherhood vs Enclave vs Super Mutants vs Raiders with an Orbital Strike wiping everyone out? :) or just use 1 of each character?

Yeah, my logo was no work at all...actually everything I did was all cut, clean, paste, resize....and add drop shadows, strokes, and the bevel/emboss on the logo (which is only checking off a box in photoshop). Your banner is the real work, cutting all those characters out and pasting in a scene and the logo was much more work too. I wouldn't know what to do to make my logo look better honestly.

I would love to see these on the homepage, and it would be even better to cycle through them like a random banner type of thing? It can be done with PHP, and there's probably a plugin around for it too.

Would be pretty cool and would spice up the forums a bit with a bit of randomization.

It can be done with Html 5. I have seen worst site's for projects in development I am a web developer myself so if Recycler will give me the change I will try to make something cool for a more stable release but now it's doesn't add anything.

HTML5 is pretty nioce, more of a backend type of guy so PHP is my preferable language with various projects. Would be better for using various client methods as it'd reduce loading time and stress.

That was a random screen shot but any future ones I take I will make sure to add pipboys, I just didn't think of it before.

yeah I agree the pipboys need to be on them, I didn't even realize I could do that with the console. the screen shot I make will be more versatile I wont have more than 1 person in power armor, each will be different. I will even put each one with a different weapon and find a good place to stand and have an explosion in the background. I'll try to make it as good as I can and better than the enclave one I made.

Pipboy test screen... still working on setting up where they stand and a good camera view. The quality sucks only because of the forum downsizing when uploading. Gotta say, I love the 2 kids, one in a spacesuit and the other in Blast off pajamas with a pint-sized slasher mask, really funny. I think I want to change the location though. Anyone have any ideas for a beautiful backdrop location? I had a few ideas like chillin at the baseball field playing baseball or sitting by a campfire, or just standing there similar to this screen shot. I also want to incorporate the Vertibird air attack explosion effect in the background, or an orbital strike...any explosion that looks good. Oh, and you can't put Pipboys on without the light :/

I like it, but to bad not everyone is looking into the camera, it lose some depth because of that I like the suit I don't care about the pipboy light it's nice for this picture. Can you send me the picture with all the pipboys?

it took what seemed like hours to gather all the followers and get them in clothes that looked good with a weapon to match. I knew I wanted a better location, so I didn't bother wasting more time to set them up looking at the camera. It's actually not easy to set a bunch of NPCs up in-game as followers. They don't stay either, they turn and talk to each other or they move when an enemy comes. So this screen shot is just a test to show the pipboys mostly. when I find a good location the NPCs will be in position with most looking at or facing the camera. If there is an easier way to setup NPC position rather than just telling them to wait in a spot, I don't know it yet.

unfortunately, I am out of town here for a few weeks so I won't be able to take anymore screen shots until I get back. but it is easy enough to use a temporary background screenshot and make the rest of the items as separate layers in photoshop and save as .psd so you can swap the background image in seconds whenever you want. Volumed knows how to do this so I would recommend doing that for now. Here are some full resolution screens I have for now to use...
