Joining a Server with Hamachi. Help?

i have downloaded the Vaultmp runable and my friend has the server up and running. i have his Hamachi IP in and running but whenever i try to enter his IP and 'get server's my Vaultmp Locks up and stops responding. Help? HELP? ((We're Trying to play newvegas))

I think the current version should still work with New Vegas I believe. Though I don't think anyone would suggest anything helpful due to the discontinued support for New Vegas. I suggest just getting copies of FO3 when you can and follow with the mod till someone is willing to fix up their own New Vegas support.
