Server is up, but no npcs?

I might just be dumb, but in my server there is no npcs? I thought they got synced? Is there a chance I forgot something in installation or setup of my server? Any help is appreciated!

P.s. As a side question, is it possible to create your own character for the multiplayer or no?

NPCs are synced, but they need to be created via a script. There is no option to import the default single player NPCs yet, but there might be at some time.

The NPCs will not have AI, because there is no AI sync only scripted server sided AI.
