Q: Theres no servers, whats going on?

A: VaultMP is intended as a frame work for scripters to host custom servers. Our goal isnt to host servers, but to give you the tools to host your own.

Q: It keeps crashing, what should I do?

A: Gary 2 is a very early alpha release being developed almost single handedly by Recycler. This level of instability is to be expected. Report all bugs on the official forums.

Q: Will you support mods?

A: Yes down the road mods will be fully supported. You should be aware that any mods that contain custom geck scripts will need those scripts converted to C\C++ or PAWN to work with VaultMP. Currently, any mods activated in your load order, will be deactivated when you launch VaultMP.

Q: I dont see any Npcs, where is everyone? What about Quests?

A: All the NPCs are removed and will be added later. NPCs are synced, but they need to be created via a script and will not have any AI by default and does also need to be created by script.

Quests are not currently synced, so they have been removed as to not give the impression that they are synced.

Q: What about items?

A: All items have been removed because of crashes and to make it server sided. Lastly, the console is available to use once ingame, allowing you use item codes to give yourself armor/weapons/ammo/stimpacks if you wish. The console will eventually be removed as we move from alpha to beta.

Q: Fallout NV download for vaultmp is longer on the site?

The latest version that supported New Vegas gary 2.7 is no longer online. There are no binaries anymore. You could compile it from source, but it's no recommended. There were several unresolved issues with Fallout: New Vegas, I doubt you would have any joy with it.

Q: What about VATS?

A: VATS is removed, think about it yourself why.

Error and solution list

E: Could not open SQLite3 database: library routine called out of sequence

S: The issue was the non-ASCII (cyrillic) letters in the folder path. Solution is to move the server files to a location without these characters or just the C:\ drive. non-ASCII characters are: "некаторыя рускія" so make a folder without this kind of characters.

E: Error called Loading of world (0000003C,-4,-4) failed (Timeout of 60000 reach).

S: FIX 1: Ok I found the issue it had to do with the host=(I put the servers local ip in here) in the server's .ini I should have just left it blank because that was causing the map not to load.

FIX 3: Go to your vaultmp.ini change inittime=9000 to inittime=20000
