Thread: How-To Set-Up A Fallout 3 + New Vegas MP Server[PICS] [WINDOWS]

Ive Seen Some People Encounter Problems With The Way They Have It Set-up, So I Thought Id Make My Own TuT.

This Is A Complete Guide On How-To Setup A Fallout 3 + New Vegas Dedicated Server To Play With Friends!

Step-By-Step

[size=18pt]STEP 1: Download The 134 Revision Here![/size]

* Scroll Down Until You See Download(revision 134)

Click That And It Will Download A Zip File.
EDIT: Download One Of These As Well.


[size=18pt]STEP 2: Extracting Software[/size]
Open The Zip File
* You Should See These Files:

Make A Folder On Your Desktop, And Extract These Files Into it.

[size=18pt]STEP 3: Move The Files![/size]
Copy And Paste vaultmpd.exe + vaultmp.dll To Your Fallout 3 OR New Vegas Folder, Along With NVSE OR FOSE.

[size=18pt]STEP 4: Setting Up The Server![/size]
Go Back To The Folder You Extracted The Files In.
vaultserver ---> windows ----> Make A Shortcut Of "vaultserverd.exe" to dekstop.

* Right-Click The Shortcut, Properties.

[size=18pt]STEP 5: Editing The Properties![/size]
Your Properties Should Look Like This, "C:\Users\[NAME]\Desktop\[YOUR FOLDER]\vaultserver\windows\vaultserverd.exe".
Now, Hit The Spacebar And Put, "-a [YOUR IP] -q -nv -c 5" [NO QUOTES]

Delete the '[YOUR IP]' And Place Your IP.
-q = Query
-nv = New Vegas (If You Wanna Have A Fallout 3 Server, Get Rid Of the -nv)
-c = player max (Mine Is 5 :P)

[size=18pt]STEP 6: Starting Your Server![/size]
Run Vaultmaster.exe In the vaultmaster folder.

Run Your SHORTCUT Vaultserverd.exe

It Should All Look Something Like This:
(But With YOUR Ip.)

[size=18pt]STEP 7: Connecting To Your Server![/size]
Run Vaultmpd.exe

In The "Master" Text Box, Input Your IP. (As Shown In Pic Above ^^^)
Click "Master Query"

Your Server Should Come Up:

Hit Join Server!

It Should Open YOUR Game, And Connect:

And You Should Be In-Game!


Enjoy, To Have Freinds Join, PortForward 1660 AND 1770, And Give Them YOUR Ip!

Ok, I got a request to make this step so here it is.
* In your internet browser, goto 192.168.1.1
Enter your routers username and password. Defaults are:
Username: admin
Passowrd: admin
* Goto Portfarwarding/Gaming and applications,

Portforward 1660 and 1770 to your IPv4 (found in CMD if you type ipconfig, Starts with 192.168)

I guess I can't make servers because I have wifi or my computer hates me....No one is gonna make a server for New vegas since I think the test server are down...?
