A live chat would Give players a way to talk to each other Out of game and set up games outside of Fallout, You may be saying why dont you just p.m them.. well Pm's are the problem, you cant talk to a group of people at once a live chat would allow you to that

The next version will have a chat ingame for now just use Mirc and keep the screen windowd or xfire for friends.

Where did you see that there will be an ingame chat?
